David Turner Named Most Admired CEO Award Honoree by The Houston Business Journal

HOUSTON, Texas – July 20, 2018 – Equipment Depot, a material handling, aerial lift, sales, service, parts and rental provider, announced today that David Turner, President and CEO, has been named one of Houston’s Most Admired CEOs by the Houston Business Journal. This honor demonstrates his outstanding contribution to the Company’s continued success, civic involvement, career achievement, along with his drive for innovation.

Since taking over the leadership role in 2013, Turner focused on growing the business by being the Best Service Organization in the industry. He reorganized the team structure to serve our customers better, improved employee morale and built better relationships with OEM partners. His firm belief in the Equipment Depot team led him to resign from the Pon Holdings Executive Board last March and invest his own money in helping the Company reach its full potential.

Turner has always been an incredibly passionate and hands-on leader. He often visits the Company’s 35 locations and talks with each local employee, asking about their family and talking shop. He makes it his priority to travel with our frontline employees – from field technicians to salespeople and customer service support representatives. It is this hands-on approach that enables him to be an engaging leader and helps him stay connected with the business and the team members.

When he is not leading a company of 1,500 employees across 35 locations in 13 states, Turner takes the time to give back to the community. Through Equipment Depot’s Time2Help initiative, all employees get to spend two fully paid days each year on community projects or start a charity of their own choice.
